Bansko is situated  in  the  southwestern  part of  Bulgaria, at the foothills of one of the most beautiful  mountains in Bulgaria - Pirin, a  national  reserve  included in UNESCO's  list  of  World  National Heritage. Bansko, one of the biggest European  ski  resorts provides  a  charming  atmosphere  between  the virgin nature and the ancient small town. It is situated  160 km southwest  from  Sofia  international  airport  and  250 km north-west from "Macedonia" international  air-port in Thessaloniki, Greece. Driving  from  Sofia to  Bansko  you  have  to  follow  main  road  E-79.
